Steve Hall joined NERC at the IOS James Rennell Centre in 1990, and has worked for the World Ocean Circulation Experiment programme; as Autosub Science Missions programme manager, and for the NOCS (previously SOC) External Affairs team. He now contributes to the oceans4schools website, maintains the NOCS NCOF website and supports the science and administration needs of the ocean circulation and climate research division at NOCS. Research interest is social and political impacts of climate change.

| Adrian New started his NERC career at IOS Taunton before moving first to IOSDL Wormley and then the James Rennell Centre at Southampton. Originally specialising in internal waves, Adrian's work has been dominated by isopycnic ocean modelling. In recent years Adrian has been PI on Charles Darwin cruise 242 in the Indian Ocean and he is closely involved in coordinating the next major funding bid for NOCS's Ocean Circulation and Climate Division.
